[Class 139.] Hand - setting apparatus.- Means for indicating failure of the driving power (e.g. the current in an electric clock) is interconnected with means for resetting the hands correctly, so that after restoration of the power the hand-setting restores the faultindicator to its origina position. When the current fails, a catch 3 is moved in the direction of the arrow and the indicator 1 falls about its pivot 2 to show through an aperture in the dial. Catch 3 is returned with current resumption but the fault-indicator is only restored with hand setting. Further, a spindle 7 is moved downwards against spring 12 by a finger knob 9 so that wheel 6 engages wheel 5 on a shaft 4 of the movement to reset the hands. At the same time a disc 10 on this spindle relatches indicator 1 through integral arm 11. Wheel 6 is slidable axially against spring 13.
