Abstract

Clockwork actuation. -A device which may be easily fitted to a clock for closing an electric circuit at a predetermined time for a predetermined period comprises a notched dial j clamped to a spindle i<1> so as to rotate once in twentyfour hours, and a member k also mounted on the spindle and having a finger k' adapted to engage any predetermined notch on the dial j, the finger and dial then rotating together and a second finger k<2> on the member k engaging after a predetermined time a spring contact l and remaining in contact with it for a time depending on the length of the contact l. The end of the contact l is in the form of an arc of a circle and as shown in Fig. 1, will maintain the circuit closed for nine hours. The members j, k, are clamped to the spindle i<1> by a nut j<1>.
