Abstract

358,627. Clips for supporting pipes. TANNAHILL, J. B., 9, South Park Drive, Paisley, Renfrewshire. July 29, 1930, No. 22751. [Class 99 (ii).] A flexible clip 4 for supporting pipes is formed from a strip of rubber or the like 3 reinforced with round, flat or corrugated metal wires or strips 1, 2. To prevent spreading of the strip 3 by the fixing screws 6, washers 5 inserted under the screw-heads are formed with flanges on two opposite edges which are adapted to grip the sides of the strip 3, as shown in Figs. 4 and 5. Fig. 6 shows a modified arrangement in which eyelets 8 replace the flanged washers.
