Abstract
356,947. Transformers. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., Magnet House, Kingsway, London, and BLIGH, N. R., of General Electric Co., Wembley, Middlesex. Sept. 15, 1930, No. 27541. [Class 38 (ii).] The high-permeability magnetic material for a transformer or loading coil is first wound on a former so that it acquires approximately the shape that it will have when in final position, subjected to heat treatment, and then wound upon the electric circuit without subjecting the material to deleterious mechanical strain. In the example shown the material 1 is shaped and then wound by threading through the aperture in the coil former 3 in the manner of a key-ring.
