356,691. Casting. ADAMCIKAS, M. and MASSERA, G., Astor House, Aldwych, London. March 8, 1930, No. 7663. Addition to 312,748, [Class 110 (i), Centrifugal and screw fans &c.]. [Class 83 (i).] Moulds; patterns.-Fans of the type described in the parent Specification, having overlapping blades which increase in width and geometric pitch towards the hub, are made by casting ; four or more moulds divided into sections at right-angles to the rotor axis are used. When four moulds a .. d are used, as shown in Fig. 2, the pattern f is split into two parts by a division at right-angles to the axis, and portions g, h of the blades form part of the divided pattern. Portions of the blades overlap and the sand in each mould is indicated by the letters a<1> .. d<1>. When six or eight moulds are used the pattern is divided into three or four parts.
