[Class 83 (ii)] [See also Group XXVI] A rotary fan, formed by pressing, comprises blades 11 integral with hub pieces 12 which may be inserted within a hollow shaft 13 and be welded in place there. The roots of the blades may be reinforced by a flange 14 on the shaft, or, by separate segmental flange pieces welded between the blades. A fan may be formed from a piece of tubing by slitting the tubing and pressing the divided parts into blade form. Specifications 451,313; and 453, 111, [Group XXIV], are referred to.
