619,913. Turbine blades. DE HAVILLAND ENGINE CO., Ltd., HALFORD, F. B., WILSON, W. K., and SNOW, E. W. Nov. 20, 1946, No. 34401. [Class 110 (iii)] A turbine rotor A is provided with one or more circumferential grooves B which are wider at the outside circumference than at the inner circumference. The grooves receive similarly formed tongues formed on the roots D of the blades C and two or more rivets E, which may be of different diameter, pass through each tongue and the walls of the groove or grooves. Two or more blades may have a single root. The tongues and grooves may be stepped as in Figs. 1 and 6, or tapered as in Fig. 4. Specification 114,826, [Class 110 (iii)], is referred to.
