Abstract

590,433. Turbine blades. SVENSKA TURBINFABRIKS AKTIEBOLAGET LJUNGSTROM. April 16, 1945, No. 9456. Convention date, May 6, 1944. [Class 110 (iii)] A straddle type of blade fixing is arranged with unequal prongs 3, 4 so that the blade can be engaged with the rotor rim 9 as shown in Fig. 1 and swung into the position shown in Fig. 3. The projections 6, 7 on the longer prong may be undercut and the final movement is radially outward. The blade is then secured by a caulking piece 17 which may be individual to each blade or may be a complete ring. The projections 6, 7 may have surfaces concentric with the swing axis and are, in that case, secured by a rivet.
