Abstract

356,585. Hose suspender fastenings. JENSEN, C. A., 77, Chancery Lane, London. (Harvie Manufacturing Co. ; 729, North Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, Connecticut, U.S.A.) Nov. 28, 1930, No. 35894. [Class 141.] A device for securing the adjustable webbing 7 of a hose suspender comprises a loop member 10 against one bar 9 of which the webbing is gripped by a member secured to the free end of the webbing. Figs. 1 and 4 show this member 11 of U -form, one limb being longer than the other. The member is clamped on the free end of the webbing 7 and its shorter limb may have teeth 15 which enter the webbing. The edge of the longer limb is outwardly bent to provide a lip 13, which may be plain or toothed and serves to clamp the portion 16 of the webbing against the bar 9. In a modification, Fig. 6, the free end of the webbing is clamped between the main portion of a flat plate 23 and tongues 22a stamped out therefrom. The edge of the plate clamps the webbing 21 against the bar 20 of the loop member.
