Abstract
441,700. Suspender clasps. WALKER, Ltd., T., WALKER, G. T., and WOOD, H. H., Birmingham Buckle Works, St. Paul's Square, Birmingham. July 31, 1934, No. 22254. [Class 43] [See also Group XXV] The button-carrying tab 4 of a suspender fitting is secured to the bar 1<a> of the loop 1 of the fitting by folding the end of the band over the bar and securing it by a metal plate 5 which is bent around the folded band and the bar and clenched down on the band. The plate may be formed with projections or serrations to engage the band. The band of a suspender of the kind described in Specification 354,655, [Class XXV], may be secured in this way to a loop or to arms formed on a buckle or clip adapted to be secured to a corset. In the latter case, a second plate 14, Fig. 10, is bent over the arms 13 of the clip 9 before the band 6 is folded over the arms. Specifications 21321/08, 23633/11, 115,298, [all in Class 44], and 367,289 also are referred to.
