Abstract

444,504. Fastenings. LAMBOURNES (B'HAM), Ltd., and LAMBOURNE, R. G. H., 170, Great Hampton Row, Birmingham. Nov. 26, 1934, No. 33892. [Class 44] A garter or hose suspender has a fastening plate b provided with at least three slots, one engaged by one end or part of the band, another engaged by a fastening member attached to the free end of the band and the third slot for coupling the short connection to the gripping- device d. The slot for receiving the fastening device may be a plain slot b<2>, Fig. 1, which receives the L-shaped end c<1> of a member c secured to the free end of the band a. Alternatively it may be shaped as shown at b<4>, Fig. 4, to receive a T-headed member c<2>, c<3> which can be inserted in the enlarged part of the slot and retained in the reduced portion. Fig. 7 shows a band adjustably passed through two slots b<6>, b<7> in a member b having a third slot b<5> to receive a member e which is inserted and then turned. The member b may be stamped from sheet metal or celluloid.
