[Class 44] [Also in Group VII] The button 3 of a suspender is mounted in a button-hole at one end of the suspender strap 1, and the buttonengaging member 4 is provided, opposite the slot 4a in which the button 3 slides, with at least one fixed tongue 4b hooked into another button-hole 2 in the strap. Preferably a series of button-holes is provided in the strap, so that the parts can be located as required. The buckle 4 is preferably flat, and may be made of bent and soldered metal wire, or by moulding, or may be stamped from sheet metal or plastic. The strap itself may be removably and adjustably attached to a corset or the like by hooking on to a similar fixed-tongue buckle 5, 5a.
