[Class 141] A garment comprises knickers or briefs b with an elastic belt a at the top and downwardly extending suspenders consisting of tapes d, m sewn over most of their length to the knickers and terminating in freely hanging elastic bands h with suspender clips k at their ends. The belt a may be made of elastic webbing or net material with elastic cords extending circumferentially, and may have an insertion of plain material at the back, or front as shown at c. This insertion has an arched lower edge terminating in straight portions to which the tapes d are attached. The tapes d, m, which may be sewn to the outside or inside of the garment terminate in loops selectively engaged by hook-shaped connectors g carrying the elastic bands h. Elastic insertions i may be provided over the hips at the sides of the garment.
