[Classes 43 and 141.] A device for attachment to the inside of the trousers for supporing the pants comprises a plate, &c. secured by sewing or otherwise and provided with a part forming a hook for the loop on the pants. In the form shown in Fig. 1 the plate 1, of celluloid, horn, &c., is sewn to the trousers and is bent to form a hook 3 ; the device is curved horizontally to fit the trousers. Fig. 7 shows a form consisting of a strip of leather furnished with a snap fastening 6. In Fig. 8 the device is secured to the trousers by a bachelor's button B, while in the form shown in Fig. 12, the hook 3 is pressed out of the body of the plate and is formed with a return prong 9 ; alternatively, prongs may be formed on the lateral edges of the hook.
