726,880. Shirts &c. JACOBS, A. J. Aug. 26, 1953, No. 23573/53. Class 141. A shirt or undervest has a loose overlap or vent 15 at the centre of its front lower edge and a central rear extension adapted to fit into the crutch and fasten externally to the front of the garment by means of buttons 14, 21, 22 engaging buttonholes 23, 24, 25 to cover the vent, the lateral edges of the extension being free to engage the thighs in the manner of trunks and fastening means, e.g. button 26, being provided to maintain the extension in an inoperative position against the back of the garment when desired. The extension may be formed of two shaped parts 18, 19 which may come to a point adjacent the buttonhole 23. In an alternative construction, the extension is triangular in shape.
