Abstract

356,273. Microphone circuits. GRAHAM AMPLION, Ltd. and HODGSON, A. D'A., St. Andrew's Works, Slough. June 6, 1930, No. 17646. [Class 40 (iv).] A coupling transformer for two microphones 16, 17 which may be used alternatively has its primary windings 13, 14 wound in opposite directions so that the steady component of microphone current produces no magnetic effect. More than two microphones may be provided for by balancing one or more of the primary windings against the remainder. The transformer may be provided with a tertiary winding connected to a local receiver. The apparatus is particularly applicable to wireless equipment on aircraft.
