Abstract

524,673. Transformers. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES, Ltd., and GLOVER, W. F. Feb. 7, 1939, No. 4015. [Class 38 (ii)] A transformer for use in co-axial cable systems comprises a core 6 carrying the windings 7 mounted in a slot in an insulating block 4 provided with a hole through which a co-axial jack 1 extends for connection to the transformer secondary. The block also carries the primary terminals 8 and may have detachably secured to it a casing (shown dotted) surrounding the transformer. The winding limb b, Fig. 4, is of smaller cross-section than the rest of the magnetic circuit V.
