Abstract

355,450. Connecting-rod bearings. WOLSELEY MOTORS (1927), Ltd. and LUYKS, E. S., Drews Lane, Ward End, Birmingham. July 12, 1930, No. 21119. [Classes 12 (i) and 12 (ii).] In a big-end assembly the master rod 1 has an integral forke end, which is bridged by a rigidly-secured steel &c. sleeve 5 surrounding the crank pin 7. A loose bush 6 may be inserted between the crank pin and the sleeve 5. The bush 6 may be provided with lubricating holes 10 and may be faced with antifriction metal, either internally or externally, or both internally and externally. The auxiliary rods 11 are mounted on pins 12, which may be secured by means of rings 14.
