Abstract

353,685. Hats. BATTERSBY, F., 21, Nicholl Square, London. July 19, 1930, No. 21922. [Class 63.] A hygienic cap for wear when fitting hats or other head-coverings is made of thin paper or transparent cellulose product, adjustable in size on the head of the wearer, and provided with means for removing the cap after use, which means, pre ferably, ensure the destruc tion of the cap. The side of the cap may have over lapping flaps 4, 5, the outer flap being gummed at the corner to facilitate size ad justment, and to leave a loose edge by which the cap may be torn after use. Ir a modification, pleats may be provided at the sides o: the cap, fastened by sticking down the edges or by a piece of gummed material across the opening. A strip of tape 8 with a projecting tab 9 is provided for tearing the cap to remove it after use. A thin cord may be substituted for the tape, or a double line of perforations may lead from the end of a tab to the edge of the cap.
