Abstract
476,251. Face masks. MARTYN, J. O. June 5, 1936, No. 15824. [Class 132 (iii)] A face mask which can be packed flat and which when in use has a modelled or plastic appearance, comprises a back sheet, Fig. 1, of thick paper or cardboard having eye holes 1, nose hole 2 and if desired a mouth hole 4, and a flap portion, Fig. 2, having tabs 5, 6 and 7 engaging in slits 8, 9 and 10 in the back sheet, one of the tabs being permanently fixed, e.g. by sticking, to the back sheet. The mask is supported on the wearer's head by an elastic band fixed to the back sheet at the points 3. The flap portion may be scored along the dotted lines to facilitate folding. In a further modification, for a dog face, the flap portion is provided with four tabs to give a suitable jaw shape.
