Abstract

534,574. Goggles. WILEN, C. H., and KRAMARENKO, A. Sept. 8, 1939, No. 25420. Convention date, Sept. 9, 1938. Addition to 505,819. [Class 97 (i)] In goggles for use under water, as described in the parent Specification, spaced flaps 14, 15 of flexible rubber &c. are provided, spaced by flexible braces 16 which permit the flap 15 to fit the user's face. Reinforcements may be provided between the flaps at opposite ends of the goggles each having a tubular bore into which fasteners 19 for a strap 23 are fitted, rubber tubing being preferably slipped over the fasteners before they are forced into position. An orifice 25 may be formed in the frame to house an auxiliary air container 27 or a plug 28. The strap 23 may be wide enough to cover the ear openings and may carry ear pads.
