521,960. Buoyant body attachments. ARDERN, A. T. Nov. 29, 1938, No. 34730. Convention date, March 14. [Class 77] A flexible buoyant tubular harness is distributed substantially the same at the back as at the front of the wearer's body, the tubular parts being held together at the front, by devices 3, 4 at the back and at the hips. As shown, the harness is made in two parts 1, 2 one for each half of the body. Zip or press fasteners or lacing may be used as connecting devices. In one form, the front and rear halves of each part 1, 2 are connected at the hips by flexible tubes embracing the two halves. The parts 1, 2 may be inflatable tubes each with its ends joined by straps 9, 10 passing around the legs. The parts 5, 6 of the tubes may be of larger diameter than the remainder.
