Abstract
505,424. Trousers. BLANKENHORN, A. Dec. 16, 1938, No. 36689. Convention date, Feb. 22. [Class 141] Trousers comprise an attached waistband 1 having a length greater than the combined widths of the front and back body portions 2, 3, of the trousers, Fig. 1, so that when the body portions 2, 3, are joined together by the side seams 4<1>, a loop is formed at each side of the waistband, each loop being passed through a guide member 6 secured to the front portion of the waistband, and through a guide member 7 mounted on an adjustable side strap 13 secured to' the rear portion of the waistband. The side seams 4<1> may or may not extend to the waistband, the opening at each side in the latter case being covered by an extension 5 formed on the rear trouser portion 3. The bars of the guide members 6, 7, are provided with tubular coverings to facilitate the passage of the side straps and parts of the waistband.
