[Class 146 (ii)] In a sheet of letter-paper or the like of the kind having a flap B at one end of sufficient size to enable the address to be typed thereon but of smaller width than the main part A of the paper, and so disposed' as to provide side portions 9 on the part A of smaller width than the flap B, the part A being adapted to be folded upon itself, and the flap B being folded d thereover and secured in position by adhesive or the like, the size of the flap B is such that it corresponds in area to the area of the folded main part of the paper to which it is secured. The main part A is scored or ruled for folding purposes, and the line 8 may be perforated along the full length or part of its length for opening purposes. The sheet may be served with latex bands 13 on the flap, and latex bands 14 on the opposite side of the main part A, these bands coinciding when the sheet is folded to form a self-adhesive closure for the sheet. In a modified form the sheet has a flap B<1>, Fig. 5, adapted to fold about a line 15, and two parallel lines 14 of perforations coincide when the flap is thus folded to provide a tearing-strip for opening purposes ; the lines 14 may be slit if desired. In a further form, the flap is separated from the main part by a perforated, scored, or ruled line, but the flap adjacent this line is provided with an aperture to facilitate opening of the folded sheet. Where the paper is thin, the rear surface thereof is tinted to safeguard the secrecy of the correspondence. Specification 208,225, [Class 146 (ii)], and U.S.A. Specification 1,952,972 are referred to.
