Abstract

353,169. Vehicle-window regulators. BECKETT, LAYCOCK, & WATKINSON, Ltd. and BECKETT, J. E., Acton Lane, Harlesden, London. May 31, 1930, No. 16908. [Class 20 (iii).] A sliding vehicle window is passed over the fence rail during its final closing movement by means of a transversely inclined cam-plate 38 on the sash having a slot with an upwardly extending opening 36 adapted to engage a roller 16 on a lever 14, pivoted to a fixed bracket 10, when the sash is raised. The roller is retained in position to enter the open end of the slotted plate 38 by a spring- pressed pawl 22 which is displaced during actuating by a stud 40 on the sash. During the opening movement of the sash the pawl 22 is automatically positioned for re-engagement by the stud 40, engaging a projection 47 thereon. The sash is provided with handles by which it is raised &c. and is balanced by spring-controlled levers. The bracket 10 is supported by a fixed strip 21 engaging an apertured flange 20 thereon. The roller 16 is made in two parts pressed together by a spring.
