Abstract

351,128. Producing moirÚ designs. PASTOR, F., 82, Uerdingerstrasse, Krefeld, Germany. April 7, 1930, No. 10993. Samples furnished. [Class 42 (i).] MoirÚ effects are produced on fabrics by intermittently feeding the fabric, folded on itself in the usual manner, through a press in the warp direction so that a piece of the fabric corresponding to the width of the press is pressed at each operation. The folded fabric is unwound from a roll n and passes over guide-rollers p between an upper and a lower pile of press-boards i mounted on the pressmembers c, f and is rewound on a roll o. Heating elements g are situated at the back of the boards i and are suitably insulated. The member c is fixed and the member f is carried by a hydraulic ram c.
