347,558. Induction motors. DUAL MOTORS, Ltd., 85, New Bond Street, London. Aug. 12, 1930, No. 24114. Convention date, Oct. 5, 1929. [Class 35.] A rotor of the squirrel - cage type for an induction motor is made in the form of a cylinder with slits arranged parallel with its axis, alternate bars separated by the slits being alternately connected in parallel with each other in two groups. As shown, the rotor is formed as a bell, the cylindrical part 1 being formed with slits or apertures 3. Alternate bars 4 are left integral with the bottom 2, but the remaining bars 5 are soldered or otherwise connected to an outer bottom 6 insulated from the inner one and secured thereto by insulated screws 8 engaging with a plate 10 on the spindle 11.
