Abstract
299,865. Siemens -Schuckertwerke Akt.-Ges. Nov. 3, 1927, [Convention date]. Alternating-current induction machines.-The slots 10, 20 accommodating the running winding of a double squirrel cage motor are arranged at different distances from the axis of the rotor so that the slits 12, 22 connecting these slots with the slots 11 of the starting winding at the periphery of the rotor are of different lengths. As shown, in the case of a rotor having an even number of outer slots, the long and short slits are arnanged alternately but where an odd number is provided, the running winding may have one or more fewer slots than the starting winding, or one of the lower slots may contain no winding.
