[Class 35] The disc type stator or rotor of an induction motor is built up of packets of similarly sized rectangular laminµ disposed in polygonal formation with wedgeshaped members between the packets, the laminµ having parallel grooves to receive the conductors. In the form shown, the stator is composed of packets of laminµ 3 separated by wedges 4 and the rotor may be similarly formed. Two stators may co-operate with one or more rotors.
