Abstract

346,781. Shoe fastenings. BARRATT, A., Penbryn, Greenway, Weston Favell, Northampton. Jan. 14, 1930, No. 1367. [Class 17 (ii).] Relates to the provision of detachable bars or straps for " Court shoes, and consists in attaching the bars to short elastic strips 5. The strips 5 are secured in the shoe between the upper and lining, and project through slits 7 in the lining. The strips are doubled, and their free loop ends carry metal fittings 2 on to which the bar 3 is slipped. The bar extends through slits 1 in the upper, and is preferably in two parts connected by a button or other fastening. The bars may be provided in sets having various fastenings, sizes, and ornamentations.
