[Class 59.] Impact pulverizers.- In a mill in which the grinding of the material is effected by means of an ascending air current circulating around the grinding surface, the grinding surface m surrounds a centrifugal mill r which acts as a projecting surface, and the air-exit passage is formed by a plate p covering the mill and rotating with it and an elastic guide surface g adjustably arranged above the plate. The rotating disc r is provided with fan blades w and the plate p. The material to be ground is fed to the centre of the disc by a conveyer z and is thrown off on to the grinding ring m around which it is carried by the air current. The rubber diaphragm g is provided with a ring v supported by adjustable members s. The fines are carried through the gap to the outlet a.
