352,443. Grinding, crushing, &c. mills. BARTHELMESS, E., 101, Rheinallee, Oberkassel, D³sseldorf, Germany. Jan. 6, 1930, No. 539. Convention date, March 28, 1929. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. [Class 59.] A pneumatic sifting device is formed in a mill casing such that a current pf hot gas lifts the ground and unground material into the sifter for the extraction of the fines whilst the coarse material is deposited in the milling chamber where it is ground and discharged into the circulating current of hot gas. The rotating disc b is provided with beaters c and fan blades e. An annular casing f, above the beaters c, forms an annular passage with the casing i which leads to a sifter k provided with an outlet branch r. The casing is provided with a hot gas inlet h and with a feed hopper m. In a modification the beater disc b is replaced by a ball-andring mill, outside of which the hot gases are circulated by means of a separate fan.
