[Class 59] An impact pulverizer comprises beaters b working in conjunction with an adjustable bar k disposed above a radial feed inlet o supplied with material from a hopper d. Air passes peripherally into the casing through passages c and additional air may enter through lateral inlets in the side of the casing, the ground material being carried by the air past an adjustable flap i into a centrifugal separator g, the air being exhausted by a fan. Separated material is diverted by flaps i, m, n to the beaters, feed hopper or feed inlet respectively.
