Abstract

[Classes 69 (iii) and 135.] Froth on liquids delivered from a beer pump or the like is produced by forcing the liquid through an expanding annular passage formed between a conical disc valve d and a conical valve seating, and against the inner surface of a nozzle j. The valve is held against its seating by a spring g bearing against a spider f and a nut i screwed on the valve stem e. The nut is provided with arms which engage the spider so that the tension of the spring may be varied by rotating the valve by a handle k. A terminal nut h prevents the nut i from disengaging the stem.
