Abstract

322,988. Walker, A. S. April 27, 1929. Fluids, regulating flow or pressure of. - A device for silencing and reducing pressure in ball cocks and other taps comprises a hollow metal cylinder K with fixing flange A and jointing washers B, and perforated cup-shaped plates G secured within the cylinder bv a perforated screwed cap F. The inlet end of the cylinder K is reduced in diameter to form an annular chamber X with the tail piece 3 of the union for the reception of grit or lead shavings, the water being admitted through lateral openings in the inlet end of the cylinder K. The cup-shaped plates may be assembled in various ways, examples of which are shown in the Figures. Specifications 20841/07 and 5399/15 are referred to.
