Abstract

341,760. Meat rolls. VICKERS, H., Barnfield, Bury New Road, Prestwich, Lancashire. Feb. 28, 1930, No. 6637. [Class 28 (ii).] Meat rolls comprise both coarsely chopped or sliced meat, and meat paste, the coarsely chopped &c. meat 2 constituting either a core surrounded by meat paste or a shell into which meat paste is inserted to form a core. The coarsely chopped meatmay be beef, veal, ham &c., either with or without gelatine, egg, spice, flavourings &c. and the meat paste may be finely minced or pounded meat, fish &c. with tomato, bread, spices, flavourings &c. The shell may be formed in a mould in a warm state and allowed to set, and the core may then be inserted in a warm condition. A double-walled mould may be used, the inner wall being withdrawn after the shell has set, so that the core may be inserted. The meat rolls may be of round, oval, square, triangular or other section and may be covered with toasted breadcrumbs &c.
