Abstract
377,766. Meat &c. rolls ; food preparations. VICKERS, H., Barnfield, Bury New Road, Prestwich, Lancashire. May 9, 1931, No. 13752. Addition to 341,760. [Classes 28 (ii) and 49.] A meat or fish roll is formed by consolidating a layer of coarsely chopped meat &c. and a layer of meat &c. paste in a mould to form a roll in which the proportions of the two ingredients are the same, or approximately the same, in any transverse slice. If desired, one or more layers of chopped meat 1 may be consolidated with one or more layers of paste 2 and the whole rolled into a roll of spiral formation as shown. A layer of fat may be introduced between the different layers to secure adhesion therebetween. Gelatine may be incorporated in the layers to enable setting to take place on cooling.
