Abstract

377,256. Meat rolls etc.; food preparations. VICKERS, H., Barnfield, Bury New Road, Prestwich, Lancashire. April 15, 1931, No. 11120. Addition to 341,760. [Classes 28 (ii) and 49.] A compound meat or fish roll or structure of elongated form is formed by filling a mould or container with alternate layers of meat paste 2 and coarsely chopped meat &c. 1 and consolidating them into a roll in which the relative proportions of chopped meat and paste are the same in each transverse slice. A layer of chopped meat may be sandwiched between two layers of paste or a layer of paste between two layers of chopped meat. The rolls may be either cylindrical or cuboidal in shape and may be garnished with crumbs. Gelatine may be used to enable setting to take place on cooling. Specification 23216/14, [Class 49, Food &c.], is referred to.
