Abstract

338,244. Malyoth, G. Aug. 28, 1929. Blast, composition and controlling condition of.-Blast air for furnaces is dried by passage over calcium carbide. The acetylene formed passes with the air through a heater, e.g. at 350‹ C to the furnace. The temperature of the heater may be raised by the combustion of waste gases to such an extent that the acetylene burns in the blast air.
