Abstract

337,822. Carpmael, A., (I. G. Farbenindustrie Akt.-Ges.). Aug. 8, 1929. Zinc chloride and sulphate. - Lyes obtained from chlorinated burnt pyrites are freed from iron by oxidizing the latter with an alkaline-earth metal chlorate, for instance with a calcium chlorate lye, and then precipitating with quick lime. Copper is first removed by addition of iron.
