Abstract

Drawers, securing simultaneously; hasp fastenings; hook fastenings; multiple fastenings for trunks.-In a fastening, for travelling trunks fitted with drawers, of the kind in which a slidable locking rod is operated by rotation of the hasp member of the trunk fastening as described in Specification 330,721, two rods c, c<1> are provided at opposite sides of the trunk operated by a transverse shaft g rotated by the external haspmember d of the trunk lock. A link connection between shaft g and rod c<1> is shown. The rods have hooks e adapted to engage staples f, f<1> on the drawers. The shaft g also carries hooks k, k<1> adapted to engage projections m on the lid i of the trunk. A second shaft g' may be provided having hooks l, l<1> engaging projections n on the lid and rotated by rack and pinion connection with the rods c, c<1>. An additional hasp member, not shown, may be mounted on the lid to engage a fixed socket o situated near shaft g<1>.
