Abstract

206,006. Hill, W. J. Oct. 25, 1922. Hasp fastenings; hasp locks; latches, sliding. -In a fastening for trunks, boxes, cases, &c, of the type in which a hinged spring controlled hasp a' is secured by a spring-pressed sliding bolt g, the lock casing c is of shallow construction, the slot c<4> which receives the hasp loop a<2> being formed in an outward embossment c<5> ot the casing c and the nose g<3> of the bolt being cranked outwardly so as to be accommodated :n this embossment. A flush back-plate d secured to the casing c carries the key-operated locking bolt i and the bolt spring h. The keyhole slot c<2> in the casing c is of T or cruciform shape the lateral extensions of which receive the rearwardly extending pins f<2> on the sliding stud f, the extremities of which are rivetted over on the bolt g. The casing c, black-plate d, stud f, bolt g, and locking bolt i are all formed from sheetmetal.
