Abstract

213,862. Cheney, C. W. Dec. 12, 1923. Hasp fastenings; hasp locks.-The hasp of an attachÚ &c. case is apertured to engage over a boss on the lock casing and is held by a rectangular spring-pressed sliding plate h engaging a gapped peg a' on the hasp. The sliding plate is cut away at its centre h<2> to accommodate a key and the gapped peg, and is guided by the side walls f<2>, f<3>, of a back plate fixed in the casing d. The sliding plate is locked by a projection j<4> on a locking bar j engaging a notch h<3> in the side of the plate, the locking bar being mounted in gaps in the side walls f<2>, f<3> and having notches j<2> j<3> to engage the metal of one side wall in the locked and unlocked position.
