Hasp fastenings; hasp locks.-In fastenings for attachÚ cases and the like of the type in which a spring-pressed, finger-operated bolt engages an eye on the hasp, a movable plate is provided to prevent accidental disengagement of the bolt independently of the usual key-operated means, in order to avoid the continual necessity for locking and interlocking when security is desired. The bolt c is operated by the usual knob d, the shank e of which passes through a slot in the casing, and also through an L-shaped slot 5 in the sliding plate 1. When the plate 1 is slid to bring the shank e into the upper arm of the L slot, the bolt cannot be moved for release. When the plate is slid by means of its operating-piece 2 to bring the shank e into the lower part of the L-slot, the knob can be pulled sideways to release the bolt.
