Hasp fastenings.-In a trunk lock having a hasp a which springs open automatically and has a keeper f engaging in the cover plate of the lock to receive the catch or bolt, a plate b is slidably or rotatably mounted on the hasp and carries a hooked pin c passing through slots d, e in the hasp and cover-plate of the lock respectively. Manipulation of the plate b holds the hasp against the coverplate independently of the lock bolt or allows it to spring open when the bolt is released.
