Abstract

325,752. Stuck, E. April 29, 1929. Addition to 292,793. Multiple fastenings.-In a fastening means for a cupboard, according to the parent Specification, instead of acting in conjunction with a lock bolt, the bar 18 carries a member formed with a lug 32 which protrudes through a slot in the door 10 and is adapted to be secured by a padlock to a lug 31 fixed to the door. The said member has a second lug 33 on which the padlock is retained when the door is open. As shown in Fig. 2, the door is closed and the handle 19 has been moved down the oblique slot 16 to cause the latch 20 to project under the edge of the cupboard. This movement of the bar 18 causes the lug 32 to be moved into a position over the lug 31, when the padlock 34 can engage both lugs. In an alternative arrangement the lug 31 is applied to the bar and the members 32, 33 to the door.
