Abstract
336,159. Laraque, R. Dec. 9, 1929. Fixed-abutment type; cooling parts; discharge and suction pipes and passages for pumps.-An internal rotor g, eccentrically placed on a hub h of a. fixed shaft e is connected to an outer rotor a by a sliding rocking vane i. Cooling fins b are fitted to the outside of rotor a, and to the cheeks c and d, the cheek c connecting rotor a with the driving shaft j. Cooling air circulates through the fixed outer casing l, entering the base F<1>, and leaving through apertures l, the latter also being lightening holes. Air to be pumped enters a passage m and passes to the inside of rotor g through an inlet o and enters the pumping space y by way of a port q. Delivery from the pumping space z is through a port k, jacket r past a ballvalve s to a conduit f in the fixed shaft. Packing t is inserted into a divided gland d1. Suction and delivery ports may be placed on opposite sides of the pump.
