Bodies, felting or planking. - Relates to machines having top and bottom rollers, the top rollers being carried by a separate frame and driven by a belt b, and consists in the provision of a jockey pulley a mounted intermediate the ends of a lever e pivoted to the frame of the machine and having spring means associated with its free end to maintain the pulley in yieldable engagement with the slack side of the belt. To render the spring pressure adjustable a plate i may be interposed between the spring h and the lever, the plate being provided with a number of slots j any one of which is passed over a stud screwing into the lever and provided with a handwheel k. The lever e is formed with an abutment member m. which contacts with the driving shaft n should the belt break or run off its pulleys.
