Shaping and stretching tubular goods on internal frames. - A machine for calendering tubular fabrics &c. comprises two adjustable feed carriages I with horizontal and vertical feed-rollers J, L, and an adjustable gauge or expander N with antifriction rollers O. The machine shown comprises three calendering-rollers B on axes C connected by toothed gearing D and driven by fast and loose pulleys F at one side of the machine. At the other side gearing G drives a spindle H with a long keyway K, by means of which it rotates, through belts or chains M and bevel wheels M<1>, the feed rollers J, L, which enable the fabric U to pass over the gauge or expander N. The baling-roller P is pressed against the calendering-roller B by levers P<1> and an adjustable spring Q. If the fabric is to be folded, instead of baled, the fabric passes over the roller R to guide rollers R<1> or a lever S oscillated by a connecting-rod S<1> and crank disc T<1>.
