Abstract

320,829. M³ller, P. Jan. 25, 1929. Stropping-apparatus. - In a stropping-machine for safety razor blades in which a blade 21 is mounted in a holder 3 carried by a shaft 5 journaled in a carriage 2 which is reciprocated along a strop 22, the blade-holder being reversed at the ends of the strokes and pressed with the blade-edge against the strop by a spring 6 passing around the shaft 5, the pressure of the spring on the shaft is adjustable by means of screws 14, 15 carried by the blade-holder and engaging the ends 7, 8 of the spring. The machine may be employed for stropping single-edged or double-edged blades.
